Dr Joshua Chai

Managing Director and Consultant Cardiologist

Dr Chai qualified in clinical medicine from University of Cambridge with first-class Honours and completed his PhD (DPhil) at the University of Oxford on the prestigious Medical Research Council Clinical Research Fellowship. He was the recipient of multiple UK, European, and American international research awards, and he is a practicing Consultant Physician and Interventional Cardiologist at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

Michelle Lai

Lead Physiotherapist

Michelle qualified from Brunel University and has amassed extensive clinical experience having worked in various senior positions in top London teaching hospitals within the NHS and in the private sector. She co-founded PhysioQinetics with Dr Chai with a strong belief in a manual treatment approach and instilled a clinic ethos that there is no substitute to experienced hand-on skills in injury rehabilitation.

Estee Ho

Chartered Physiotherapist

Estee graduated from the Sheffield Hallam University with a MSc in Physiotherapy. Since qualifying she has developed her knowledge and skill of musculoskeletal conditions and takes on a holistic approach incorporating “hand-on” physiotherapy treatment with tailored exercises to ensure maximal improvement.

Selina Kiew

Chartered Physiotherapist

Selina joined the team at PhysioQinetics as an excellent manual therapist having qualified with First-Class honours in Physiotherapy in Sheffield. She specialises in advanced 'hand-on' techniques in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions, and has gained a wide range of experience in treating sports injuries, workplace-related injuries, accidental injuries, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation.

Tom Barras

Chartered Physiotherapist

Tom graduated from Cardiff University where he developed his knowledge of various musculoskeletal conditions and their treatments. His patients have considered him to be a very 'friendly', 'enthusiastic' and 'attentive' physiotherapist, and was highly praised by the CQC inspector. Tom represents Great Britain in rowing - in 2017 he won the Bronze medal for Team GB at the World Rowing Championship at Sarasota, and became only the fourth Briton ever to win the men's equivalent.

Mevish Akhtar

HCPC-registered Podiatrist

Mevish qualified in Podiatric Medicine in 2014 at the University of East London. She consults with us as a bio-mechanical podiatrist. Mevish started her Podiatry career in the private sector and has thousands of hours of clinical experience, where she is well equipped to assess and diagnose many lower limb conditions. Whether they may be relating to complex bio-mechanical issues, dermatological skin conditions or expert routine care.

Zoe Scales

Zoe is part of our friendly administrative team working behind the scene to co-ordinate patient care across our multiple clinics. Having previously worked as supervisor and manager in the catering industry, she brought her administrative and hospitality skill to our practice.
