How does individualised exercise programme help?

  • To improve muscle flexibility, muscle strength, and proprioception

What does an exercise programme involve?

Physiotherapists are experts in prescribing exercises to aid recovery. All prescribed exercises are individualised and tailored to the patient to achieve maximum effectiveness in the rehabilitation of his/her conditions and to help return to peak physical health. Hands-on treatment such as manipulation or mobilisation is often administered in conjunction with a specific home exercise programme for each patient.

Following any injury, the surrounding tissuess can be compromised due to pain or restricted range of movement. Although these tissues may not have been directly injured themselves, it is essential that they are addressed as part of an overall rehabilitation programme designed to not only alleviate current symptoms but to preserve function and prevent future recurrence.
